How To Make Best Of Your Centoes Experience

>...

Cenotes are sinkholes basis. In the Yucatan peninsula, they usually caves that have become flooded causing the roof to collapse, which often reveals the almost perfectly circular hole in the sky above the animals and giving people easy access to the water below.

What about water? Cenotes are not only filled with fresh water, they are full of rainwater that filters through surrounding vapnenačkim.Rezultat water is so clear, it seems impossible. Yes, you can clearly see all the way to the bottom of the cenote (except for those that are 500 meters deep), but also you can not see anything swimming in the water (people, fish, turtles) with amazing (and somewhat scary) clarity.

as cenotes great way to cool off, and we jumped on them as often as possible. Driving any road in the Yucatan peninsula and you'll probably see a hand-painted signs with names on them cenotes along with crude arrow path to it. For a few pesos a property owner will allow you to swim. Some cenotes are built with a ladder and snorkeling equipment rental and others are left pretty much in the way had been found. They are all refreshing and beautiful.

Check out our underwater video pieced together from several large dips in the various cenotes, caverns and subterranean rivers.

We even went scuba diving in Dos Ojos (two eyes) s. Since the Cenote cenotes are not fully closed as intact cave, cenote diving is considered less extreme and less danger of cave diving. We are here to tell you that this is still a wild experience whatever you call it.

As we said, water in the cenote is a hyper-clear-so clear that when you dive into it sometimes seems like the air, not water. It is also very dark once you swim back to the cenote chambers, the last places where the roof collapsed, leaking light. And a little claustrophobic.
